B Conway Group, in partnership with Tameside Council and Dhollandia, supply and fit the first DH-VO light duty column lift to a pick-up in the UK. For Tameside Council, the opportunity to utilise their 4WD pick-up and support their street cleaning team is invaluable. Mark Ellison (Group Engineering Manager) of Tameside Council, who placed the order for the tail lift, can confirm.
“With fly tipping in the borough on the increase Tameside Council needed a solution to support our street cleaning teams in a situation where manual handling could prove to be a problem. By fitting a tail lift to our 4WD pick-up [it] quickly enables this vehicle to be called upon to remove large dumped items without the need to call upon a larger tipper truck or a hi-ab equipped vehicle”.
For Dhollandia Tail Lifts, adapting their existing DH-VO.07.K1 light-duty column lift enables better integration into the overall vehicle body thus enhancing the visual appearance of a product, that has already paid its virtues in the other markets for many years, was a no-brainer.
The pick-up option of the DH-VO.07.K1 is available in 2 main executions:
• The K1 execution comes with a standard lifting range (up to the vehicle floor) with its columns extending to 650 mm above the vehicle floor.
• The K9 execution offers the ability to lift the platform another 250 mm above vehicle floor height with its columns extend to 800 mm above the vehicle floor.
